Welcome to all our new and returning Swimmers and Families to the 2024 Blue Wave summer swim season at Rivercrest!!

The Blue Wave swim team is excited to announce that Coach Ryan Erdman will be joined by Coach Alli Eodice for the 2024 season!   Our coaches will be ready to help improve our swimmers, give them encouragement and most importantly have fun this summer.

New and returning swimmer should send in your registration form ASAP. Even if you pay your membership and team fees on the website, please fill out a paper swim registration form and mail it or drop it in my mailbox. The sooner we have all the registrations the sooner we can plan for the upcoming season.

Some important upcoming dates and information to keep in mind:

~Swimsuit try-on day with Ultimate Swim Shop will be scheduled early June. Look for an announcement to come out  via email, the RCC website, and the RCC Facebook page. Last summer we purchased new our swimsuit, so you will not need to purchase a new suit.  If you are a new swimmer or need a new suit we will have the local supplier Ultimate Swim Shop available at the parent meeting.  You are free to purchase the swimsuit from whomever you prefer, however we highly encourage you to support our local supplier Ultimate Swim Shop with your purchase. They also have a full selection of goggles and anything else you may want or need for the season.

~Parent meeting will immediately follow the swimsuit try-on when scheduled. (Most likely in Early June). All new and returning parents are requested to attend to get information and if you have any questions or concerns in regards to the upcoming summer swim season.

~Picture day will be scheduled as soon as we have the meet schedule from the league. As always, we will try to schedule pictures on the same Saturday morning as a home meet if possible.

~The Parent Work Schedule will be posted shortly after the parent meeting of as soon as possible. After the schedule is made if you need to make a change, please reach out to the other parents to make a switch. We will try and accommodate your work preference requests, but please keep in mind that given the number of swimmers and parents, or lack thereof, this may not always be possible. All families are asked to work at least 3 meets depending on number of swimmers.  We thank you for being a team player, and working the meets for which you are scheduled.  Everyone’s help makes each meet run smoothly.  Without your help at these meets, they would be very difficult to run.

Also note that most families will be assigned for timing or as head timer at least once. This is an area where we need the most coverage.

~Officials are always needed and welcome. This is a job that does require training, but you will have a front row seat to all the action! As soon as the league schedules training classes I will forward that information. If you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible. All current NJSDC officials that renewed their training last summer are good for this summer since your certification is valid for 2-years. Anyone with a current valid Y officials’ certification is exempt provided you send me a copy of your Y cert.

We are looking forward to a great season for the swimmers, families and all that are involved to make the Blue Wave a success.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact either Craig or myself.

Thank you,

 Mark Batulis and Craig Galan
